In the heart of Costa Rica’s lush beauty, Kaitlyn and Riley exchanged vows at the secluded paradise of Hacienda Barrigona. Both hailing from Florida, the couple decided to make Nosara, Costa Rica, their home, embodying the dreamy fusion of love, nature, yoga and art. With nine years of shared history since their high school gym class encounter, Kaitlyn and Riley’s love story unfolded through their love for travel, a passion for food, and an appreciation for the simple joys of life shaped the essence of this couple’s relationship.
The wedding took place at Hacienda Barrigona, a hidden gem nestled within a 500-acre natural haven, where nature served as the primary amenity. Hacienda Barrigona embodied the warmth of Costa Rican villages, offering a haven for exploration and reconnection. The ceremony unfolded on Playa Barrigona, a beach within the hacienda’s embrace, creating a magical backdrop for sharing vows. The intimate setting with only 25 guest, and a super special appearance (their beautiful dog) aimed for authenticity, ensuring their time on the beach felt easy, fun, and unscripted. For cocktail, guests enjoyed the sunset and sound of the blue ocean.
The bohemian, romantic, soulful styles they chose for their wedding perfectly matched the essence of their surroundings. Their love, strong and enduring, resonated throughout the natural beauty that surrounded them and shaping a day that was as timeless as their nine-year love story. As the celebration continued, the couple and their loved ones savored their favorite cocktails – Margarita, Gin & Tonic, and Negroni, followed by a familiar style dinner– in a relaxed and joyous atmosphere.
