“CANVAS OF LOVE: A SUN-KISSED CEREMONY
FOLLOW BY A PICTURESQUE, EDITORIAL AND BLISSFUL CELEBRATION AT LAS CATALINAS
Adrienne and Ben’s love story is intricately woven with the vibrant threads of Costa Rica. It’s where their journey began, blossoming during a two-week road trip that spanned from the east coast to the west. Renting a car and immersing themselves in the country’s rich tapestry, they discovered the magic of Costa Rica together. The decision to have their wedding here was an obvious choice, especially on the beach—a place that held profound significance for Adrienne, as it marked the backdrop of Ben’s proposal at sunrise. Their initial meeting in Chicago was filled with laughter and light-up sneakers. Long-distance dating eventually led to shared interests in exploring new cities, enjoying cocktail bars, and cherishing late nights on their porch, they found a deep connection and decided to take the plunge.
Their wedding day at Las Catalinas & Casa Chameleon was a surreal experience. The intimate celebration, a result of downsizing due to the pandemic, allowed them to reconnect with friends and family in a breathtaking location. Adrienne describes the day as a mix of fast and slow, filled with unexpected and cherished moments, from simple conversations with her brother to emotionally drenched instances that felt dreamlike in the best possible way. The couple’s favorite moment, the first look, provided a private pause in the whirlwind of the day, allowing them to ground themselves in the magic of the moment. The wedding unfolded as a reflection of everything they love: minimal and modern aesthetic that they are drawn to in architecture and fashion. Their desire for a sundrenched tropical modern wedding was beautifully realized by 419 Weddings through minimal and modern decor, citron-toned color accents, and flowers by Art Flower that complemented the natural surroundings.
The first dance to Frank Ocean’s “Godspeed” song set the tone for a wild night followed by cocktails and crazy dance moves. Mason Dunn, the DJ, curated a playlist that spanned rock, pop, indie, old school hip hop, rap, and electronic music, ensuring a dance floor filled with energy and joy. Adrienne and Ben’s wedding was not just a celebration of love but a testament to the beauty of shared moments, resilience, and the unique journey that led them to the sun-kissed shores of Costa Rica.
Words from the couple:
“Raw Shoots is handsdown the best wedding photography option out there! We were nervous about having our photos taken as this was the first time we’d ever been professionally photographed together and Rob & Lori felt like old friends from the moment we met them. You made the entire experience relaxed while still offering up tips when we needed them. To have someone that you feel so comfortable with behind the camera/sharing your wedding day with you is so incredibly important. We can’t thank Raw Shoots enough!!. Everyone who has seen our photos says how stunning they are!! They always say ‘THESE ARE MAGAZINE WORTHY!’ – we agree! “
